It does adjust horizontally, and while readable in a Kindle 10, it was too straining for my 54-year-old eyes. I returned it and will buy a physical copy. Artwork looks great. As for the content itself, dark text on only slightly less dark background makes for a difficult reading experience. Maybe they'll change it in future editions. Our 11-yer old daughter is a fervent reader and is now in to graphic novels that she likes to collect - she has gathered a small, very nice looking collection by now.
